Stopson Italiana successfully completed the supply of four acoustic enclosures for a power plant in Northern Italy. The project was part of a revamping program aimed at upgrading the combined-cycle facility, improving its acoustic performance, and ensuring full compliance with structural and fire-resistance regulations.

A high-efficiency energy facility
The power plant includes:

a gas turbine unit with a capacity of 267 MWe,

a steam turbine generator rated at 128 MWe,

the ability to deliver up to 170 MWt of thermal energy for district heating and 30 MWt for industrial use.
Throughout 2024, the plant underwent a comprehensive infrastructure renewal, which included:

the installation of the final section of the boiler stack,

the commissioning of a new AE94.3A gas turbine,

and the integration of a WY23Z generator.

The supply included four acoustic enclosures, fully designed and manufactured in Italy with custom materials and according to the project’s structural specifications. Each enclosure was built in compliance with EN standards, providing 60-minute fire resistance thanks to intumescent coating technology.

All structures guarantee a noise level of 80 dB(A) measured one meter from the walls and floor, excluding untreated or unsealed openings.
