Gas and steam turbines

For turbines, Stopson Italiana designs and supplies complete filtration, ventilation and silencing systems, with a focus on acoustic efficiency and protection of equipment from out-of-order noise. Below are some of the systems that can be supplied:

• Silencers and inlet air filtration systems: guarantee air purity by minimizing corrosion, erosion and deposits, with low pressure drops.
• Soundproof cabins: for small skid-mounted systems or modular structures for large turbines, with detachable panels and integrated ventilation and fire protection systems.
• Silenced exhaust systems: designed to withstand extreme operating conditions, with tailor-made solutions for each turbine size.
• Auxiliary systems: including oil cooling and cab ventilation, designed to maximize thermal efficiency and acoustic comfort.

Endothermic engines

With decades of experience in the energy sector, Stopson Italiana manufactures acoustic solutions for diesel and gas engines, and related generators:

• Cabins with ventilation and filtration: designed to ensure effective cooling and reduction of sound reverberation, with high-efficiency acoustic partitions and grilles.
• Exhaust silencers: offered in absorbent (SM15P, SM25P), combined absorptive/reactive (SM30P, SM40P) configurations, with reductions from 15 to 50 dB(A), also available with catalysts and SCR.
• Accessories and integrations: flanges, bellows, ATEX spark arrestors, integrated catalytic converters and customized configurations for cogeneration, rail, marine and container.

The engine cabins are designed for simplified maintenance, such as rotor extraction or bushing maintenance, with removable panels and integrated lifting systems.

Compressors, Pumps, Blowers and Fans

Turbomachinery other than turbines, such as compressors, pumps, blowers and fans, require specific solutions for each application:

• Compressors: acoustic cabins and suction silencers designed to minimize pressure drops and reduce noise even in conditions of wear and tear of the systems.
• Blowers: attenuation of incoming and outgoing noise, with silencers and cabins for high frequency control.
• Pumps: generally soundproofed with custom-made acoustic booths to contain sound levels.

The silencers for these machines are often subject to pressure and must guarantee safety, acoustic and fluid dynamic performance, as well as prevent the dispersion of fibers.
