Ventilation and Duct Silencers, both of rectangular or cylindrical shape, have been designed to reduce noise level through the duct generated by any sound source, such as fans, conditioning units, etc. Low/high flow rates and available pressure drops can be achieved, depending on type of source.

SVR Model

Description and operating principle

SVR Silencers are direct passage absorption-type silencers, used in ventilation and air conditioning installations according to the following configuration options:

  • complete silencer, e.g. body and splitters
  • splitter silencer to be inserted into an existing metal sheet or concrete duct

Those silencers can be used interchangeably both for air intake and exhaust.

The standard construction allows a pressure of 100 mm H₂O and a temperature of 130° C.

The silencer will be sized for each pipeline section on the performance desired. Data combined with performance will result in different sizing parameters in terms of section, length and pressure drop.

SVC Model

Description and operating principle

SVC Silencers have been especially designed for ventilation installations. They are particularly suitable for installation:

  • upstream and downstream axial flow fans
  • upstream and downstream centrifugal fans
  • in cylindrical ventilation lines
  • cylindrical to rectangular transition ducts

The standard silencers SVC are suitable for pressure drops up to 700 Pa and a maximum temperature of 100° C, while maximum internal pressure is 1000 Pa. Pressure drops in transition ducts have to be calculated separately.
They feature galvanized steel sheet construction and a dissipation technic for noise reduction. The absorptive material is always protected by perforated sheet.

Options

  • Flanges
  • Counter flanges
  • Seals and bolts
  • Supports for vertical and horizontal installation
  • Painting or special protections
  • Aerodynamic profiles for pressure drop reduction
  • Rectangular and cylindrical sections joint
