A spark arrestor is preventing the emission of flammable debris from combustion sources, such as combustion engines.
STOPSON spark arresting silencers are for use on the exhaust of internal combustion engines where fire hazards exist. They work on the principle of trapping or pulverizing carbon particles that have a diameter greater than 0.023 in.
A properly installed and maintained spark arrestor will significantly reduce the risk of fire. The most common type of spark arrestor will trap carbon particles in the exhaust system, screening the larger carbon particles out of the exhaust. Through centrifugal force, the heavier carbon particles are thrown against the inside walls of the arrester and directed into a trap.
Our spark arrestors can be either cylindrical or disk type.
Cylindrical type spark arrestors employ stationary vanes, baffles, or other devices to trap large particles by centrifugal force.
Disk type spark arrestors feature improved insulation capabilities and advanced heat retention in a space saving design. The low profile silencer provides extraordinary performance in a compact size, and is excellent in applications where size restriction is a critical factor. In a disc-type design, additional discs can be added to reduce backpressure and increase exhaust flow.
Anti-vibration mounts are predominantly used to reduce the transmission of structure borne noise and vibration from mechanical plant and equipment.
The incorporation of suitable vibration isolation products is a critical factor in effectively minimizing the transfer of noise and vibration from mechanical plant & equipment located in factories, ships, off shore platforms, offices, residential apartments, studios, theatres, auditoriums, schools and universities, hospitals and research laboratories.
Our range of Anti-vibration mounts are specially designed to provide the optimum vibration isolation of a wide range of equipment used in various applications and when selected and installed correctly our anti-vibration mounts can reduce vibration transmission by more than 95%.
Description and operating principle
Baffles panels are used to reduce noise reverberation of industrial environment by sound absorption. They find their application in almost all high reverberation environments, where there are similar emission multiple noise sources, and above all in those crowded environments, with no specific personnel location.
Panels are made by assembling absorbent lining on a steel frame of unalterable, incombustible and imputrescible mineral wool, and they may have a surface finish of corrugated aluminum sheet. In order to completely isolate the absorbent lining, it is protected by a coat of plastic film. Furthermore, panels’ steel frame are provided by two supports, essential for their implementations.
For standard installations, support frame is obtained by processing galvanized sheets “Sendzimir” or with semi-gloss and cold-rolled type aluminum.
Two different variants are produced:
- Frame made of pre-painted galvanized sheets.
- Aluminum pre-painting before drilling.
Panels are equipped with:
- Hanging catenary and chains equipped with hooks for panels and building gaskets
- Ceiling hooks

Wall linings are assembled on the site with support beams, absorbent lining, incombustible and rot mineral wool in rigid panels, and they have a surface finish of perforated galvinized steel sheets.
In order to prevent the scattering into the environment, absorbent lining is protected by a coat of glass fiber, most likely in black color.
For standard installations, support frame is obtained by processing galvanized sheets “Sendzimir”. Special execution can be made of pre-painted light grey steel sheet or powder painted steel sheet with specific RAL color.
Wall linings are equipped with:
- Wall fixing accessories
- Galvanized or painted steel frames for finishing of doors, glass windows, etc.
- Plastic protection film for absorbent linings.
