Stopson Italiana successfully completed the supply of four acoustic enclosures<\/strong> for a power plant<\/strong> in Northern Italy. The project was part of a revamping program<\/strong> aimed at upgrading the combined-cycle facility, improving its acoustic performance, and ensuring full compliance with structural and fire-resistance regulations.<\/p>

A high-efficiency energy facility<\/b><\/p>\n

The power plant includes:<\/p>\n

    a gas turbine unit<\/strong> with a capacity of 267 MWe,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    a steam turbine generator<\/strong> rated at 128 MWe,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    the ability to deliver up to 170 MWt of thermal energy<\/strong> for district heating and 30 MWt<\/strong> for industrial use.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Throughout 2024, the plant underwent a comprehensive infrastructure renewal<\/strong>, which included:<\/p>\n

      the installation of the final section of the boiler stack<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      the commissioning of a new AE94.3A gas turbine<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      and the integration of a WY23Z generator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The features of Stopson Italiana\u2019s acoustic enclosures<\/h2>\n

      Engineered for acoustic performance and fire safety<\/b><\/p>\n

      The supply included four acoustic enclosures<\/strong>, fully designed and manufactured in Italy with custom materials<\/strong> and according to the project\u2019s structural specifications. Each enclosure was built in compliance with EN standards<\/strong>, providing 60-minute fire resistance<\/strong> thanks to intumescent coating technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Dimensions and configurations<\/h3>\n

      The four enclosures were designed as follows:<\/p>\n

        All structures guarantee a noise level of 80 dB(A)<\/strong> measured one meter from the walls and floor, excluding untreated or unsealed openings.<\/p>
